Many people ask, "What is Spiritual Direction?"
Spiritual direction is an age-old tradition in the Catholic Church journeying with one another to help see and hear the work of the Lord more clearly.
The focus of spiritual direction is to enable an individual to grow in his or her relationship with God, self and others in the ups and downs of life's journey.
Spiritual direction may occur on a regular basis, during a retreat, or at a time of special need. For regular spiritual direction, one usually meets with the director either on a weekly or monthly basis for a one-hour session.
Sister Therese says, "The fruit of spiritual direction is gaining a personal intimacy with Jesus, deepening one's prayer life and discovering that each person is the beloved of the Father."
